Flex Driver – FedEx – Gravenhurst, ON

FedEx is looking for a Flex Driver to join their team in Gravenhurst, Ontario. This is a casual part-time position with flexible scheduling, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road and takes pride in delivering packages on time with a smile.

As a Flex Driver, you’ll be out in the community every day, making deliveries to customers along established routes. The role involves loading and unloading your vehicle, reviewing orders before heading out, and representing FedEx Canada with professionalism and care at every stop.

About the Role: Flex Driver

This position is centred around the reliable and timely delivery of packages to customers across predetermined routes in the Gravenhurst area. You’ll review orders before each shift, ensure your vehicle is properly loaded, and complete your route efficiently while maintaining exceptional customer service standards throughout the day.

Working within a Mon to Sat operation, shifts typically run from 8AM to approximately 4PM. You’ll need to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, manage your time well on the road, and handle any on-the-job challenges with composure and good judgement.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day, this role keeps the FedEx delivery network moving by ensuring packages reach customers accurately and on time. From the moment you arrive at the depot to your last drop-off, your focus will be on safe and efficient deliveries and a positive customer experience at every door.

• Deliver packages to predetermined customers on specific routes in a timely manner
• Review orders prior to departure to confirm accuracy and completeness
• Load and unload your delivery vehicle safely and efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service at every stop, representing FedEx professionally
• Complete mandatory training and maintain minimum thresholds on driver assessment programs
• Operate in a PC Windows environment for route and delivery management tasks
• Adapt to varying shifts and work conditions based on business needs

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate for this Flex Driver role is someone who is reliable, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently on the road. FedEx values strong time management, physical capability, and a professional attitude in all of its drivers.

• Valid full G licence / Class 5 driver’s licence is mandatory for this role
• Clean driving record with no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months
• High school diploma or educational equivalent required
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs as packages can be heavy and handling is part of the daily routine
• Customer service experience of at least one year is preferred, though not strictly required
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with customers
• Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced delivery environment
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations is considered an asset
