About the Role: Fast-Food Preparer

As a Fast-Food Preparer at Tim Hortons, you’ll be responsible for a wide variety of kitchen and front-counter duties. You’ll prepare and package food items, take customer orders, stock stations, and operate equipment like conventional ovens and electronic cash registers. Every shift brings a mix of food prep, customer interaction, and kitchen upkeep that keeps things moving.

This position requires physical stamina and the ability to handle repetitive tasks while staying focused under pressure. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team, following proper food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining area at all times.

Benefits and Salary

This position offers a wage of $16.60 per hour for 35 to 40 hours per week. Additional financial perks include a performance bonus and a night shift premium. Beyond pay, the employer covers learning and training costs, and free parking is available on site.

Responsibilities

Working as a Fast-Food Preparer at Tim Hortons means covering everything from food preparation to customer service and kitchen sanitation. Each task contributes directly to the quality and consistency that customers expect from Tim Hortons every single visit.

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment including dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware; store clean items in designated areas
• Prepare food items by washing, peeling, cutting vegetables and fruit, and using manual and electrical appliances
• Portion and wrap foods; package take-out orders accurately and efficiently
• Take customer orders at counters and serve at buffet tables with a positive, client-focused attitude
• Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and serving stations throughout the shift
• Receive and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards; stock refrigerators and salad bars
• Maintain floor cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing as required
• Keep records of food quantities used and handle kitchen garbage and trash removal

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

• Interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset for front-counter interactions
• Reliability and initiative — able to work independently and as part of a team across varied shifts
