About the Role: Counter Attendant

As a Counter Attendant at Tim Hortons, your day-to-day will revolve around providing quick, friendly service to guests while keeping the dining and counter areas clean and well-organized. You’ll handle everything from taking customer orders to preparing and heating simple food items, packaging take-out, and operating both manual and electrical food prep appliances.

Working as part of a team is central to this role. You’ll be expected to maintain a clean workspace, follow food safety and hygiene standards, and contribute to a positive experience for every customer who walks through the door. The position is fully on-site at the Shawinigan location — there is no remote work option.

Benefits and Salary

Responsibilities

Counter Attendants at Tim Hortons are involved in both front-of-house service and basic back-of-house food preparation. Your responsibilities keep the location running efficiently and ensure every customer has a positive experience from the moment they place their order.

• Take customers’ orders accurately and efficiently at the counter
• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables in a friendly, professional manner
• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items according to Tim Hortons standards
• Package take-out food properly for customers on the go
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a tidy dining area
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash to keep the workspace sanitary and organized

Requirements / Skills

• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field is preferred

• Work eligibility: Open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and temporary residents with a valid work permit
