About the Role: Executive Recruiter
This is a hands-on, full-cycle recruitment role where you’ll manage multiple executive and corporate job requisitions simultaneously. You’ll be responsible for pipelining top talent, engaging passive candidates, coordinating interviews, and advising hiring leaders on candidate selection — all while maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Applicant Tracking System (Workday). The pace is high, the portfolio is diverse, and the impact is real.
Beyond day-to-day hiring, you’ll also contribute to special projects in collaboration with HR Ops and Workday Architecture teams. Strong stakeholder communication is essential — you’ll be expected to set clear expectations, develop tailored recruitment strategies, and act as a brand ambassador for Canadian Tire throughout the hiring process. This role is onsite 4 days per week at the Toronto office.

Responsibilities
As the Executive Recruiter, your day-to-day will revolve around managing a high-volume desk with multiple open requisitions at any given time. You’ll be the key connector between candidates and hiring leaders, ensuring a smooth and professional experience at every stage of the recruitment lifecycle.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of executive and corporate requisitions simultaneously in a high-volume environment
- Oversee the complete recruitment lifecycle — from talent pipelining and passive sourcing to screening, interviews, offer negotiation, and administration
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, candidates, and subject-matter experts
- Set expectations clearly with stakeholders and develop tailored recruitment strategies and talent recommendations
- Utilize the Applicant Tracking System (Workday) to track recruitment metrics and ensure data accuracy
- Leverage recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Database, and others to source and engage top talent
- Participate in special projects in collaboration with HR Ops, Workday Architecture, and other internal stakeholders
Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in corporate and executive recruitment, ideally with both in-house and agency experience. Canadian Tire values recruiters who can balance a demanding portfolio while building genuine, lasting relationships with their stakeholders.
- 3–5+ years of corporate recruitment experience, including demonstrated executive recruitment exposure; agency experience is a strong asset
- High-volume desk management — proven ability to handle multiple requisitions at various stages concurrently
- Full-cycle recruitment expertise, from sourcing and screening through to offer negotiation and onboarding coordination
- Stakeholder relationship building — strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers
- Workday ATS experience is a strong asset; familiarity with other HRIS and recruitment sourcing tools required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to represent Canadian Tire as a credible brand ambassador in the talent market
