Day Remodel Associate – Walmart – Temiskaming Shores, ON

Walmart Canada is looking for a Day Remodel Associate to join their store team in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario. This hands-on role puts you right at the centre of store transformation projects, working alongside the Remodel Lead and Day Remodel Manager to bring newly renovated departments to life. About the Role: Day Remodel Associate

As a Day Remodel Associate at Walmart Temiskaming Shores, your primary focus is establishing standards in newly renovated departments. You’ll print mod sheets and labels, clean counters, install ESL and DSM systems, and link mods to DSM labels where required. You’ll also stock departments spanning General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh — covering virtually every corner of the store. Building and moving counters using the appropriate equipment, merchandising endcaps, action alley, and side counters are all part of the regular workflow.

This position also involves cold chain compliance to ensure food quality standards are maintained, as well as shrink prevention by scanning damaged or stolen merchandise promptly. From time to time, work may take place in active construction areas, requiring proper personal protective equipment including steel-toed footwear and a hard hat. Throughout all of it, delivering a positive customer experience remains a consistent priority.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be directly involved in the physical setup and merchandising of renovated store departments. From installing signage systems to stocking shelves across multiple departments, your work ensures that the store meets Walmart’s operational and presentation standards during and after remodels. Keeping customers informed and assisted throughout the process is equally important.

• Secure high-ticket merchandise in designated locations to support loss prevention protocols
• Set modulars by printing mod sheets and labels, cleaning counters, installing ESL and DSM equipment, and linking mods to DSM labels where required
• Stock multiple departments including General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh
• Follow cold chain compliance guidelines to maintain food quality and safety standards
• Support shrink prevention by scanning damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner
• Build new counters using kit sheets provided by Warehouse Associates, following prints from the Lead Specialist
• Move counters safely using appropriate equipment
• Merchandise endcaps, action alley, and side counters in line with accepted store standards
• Work safely in construction areas when required, wearing steel-toed footwear and a hard hat
• Assist customers proactively, helping them locate products and answering questions accurately throughout the remodel process
