Day Remodel Associate (6 Month Contract) – Walmart – Port Elgin, ON
Walmart Canada is bringing on a Day Remodel Associate for a 6-month contract at their Port Elgin, Ontario location. This is a hands-on, team-oriented role focused on supporting store renovations — from setting up new departments and building counters to stocking shelves and assisting customers throughout the remodel process. If you enjoy variety in your day-to-day work and like seeing tangible results, this role delivers exactly that.
Working alongside the Remodel Lead and Day Remodel Manager, you’ll help establish standards in newly renovated departments. The work spans everything from merchandise setup and modular installation to cold chain compliance and shrink prevention — all while keeping customers happy and the store running smoothly during construction.
About the Role: Day Remodel Associate
As a Day Remodel Associate, your primary focus is bringing newly renovated departments up to standard. You’ll be printing mod sheets, installing electronic shelf labels (ESL), setting up digital shelf management (DSM), and building new counters using kit sheets provided by Warehouse Associates. The role covers a wide range of departments including General Merchandise, Fashion, Consumables, Grocery, Dairy/Frozen, and Fresh Departments.
This position also calls for a strong sense of safety awareness, as you may occasionally work in active construction zones requiring steel-toed footwear and a hard hat. Throughout it all, you’ll be expected to deliver excellent customer service — proactively helping shoppers find what they need, even while remodel work is ongoing.
