New Graduate Program – Data Science Associate, Finance Rotational Program – Canadian Tire – Calgary, AB
Location: Calgary, AB | Company: Canadian Tire
Canadian Tire Corporation is looking for analytically driven new graduates to join their Data Science Associate, Finance Rotational Program — a structured two-year development opportunity based out of Calgary, Alberta. With a 2027 start date, this program is designed for students expecting to graduate in December 2026 or Spring 2027 who want to launch a meaningful career in data science, business intelligence, and financial analytics at one of Canada’s most recognized retail companies.
This isn’t a typical entry-level position. The Data Science Associate (DSA) program consists of two progressive 12-month rotations within Finance Decision Support teams, giving you hands-on exposure across retail analytics, data engineering, and finance transformation. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising and Finance teams, contribute to real business problems, and build the kind of broad analytical foundation that sets you up for long-term success in analytics at Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC).
About the Role: Data Science Associate, Finance Rotational Program
Across your two rotations, you’ll be embedded in Decision Support teams that operate at the intersection of data and business strategy. Day-to-day, you might be building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, writing complex SQL queries, developing Python-based data models, or partnering with Finance on transformation projects that modernize how CTC manages its data infrastructure. The program is structured to give you progressive responsibilities so that by the end of your second rotation, you’re operating as a well-rounded data science professional.
You’ll also be part of a broader new graduate community at Canadian Tire, with access to mentorship, continuing education programs, and a supportive culture that values learning, agility, and innovation. The role is primarily onsite in Calgary — four days per week in the office, with one day working from home.
Benefits and Salary
Canadian Tire offers a broadband salary range of $53,000 to $88,000, with a typical hiring range of $53,000 to $70,000. Final compensation depends on your experience, internal equity, and alignment with market conditions. Beyond salary, the company provides comprehensive benefits and retirement programs, performance incentives, continuing education programs, career growth opportunities, and employee product discounts. Benefits-eligible employees also receive up to $5,000 per year in mental health benefits, access to the Triangle Learning Academy, and participation in the Canadian Tire Profit Sharing plan.
