Analyst, Vendor Standards – Canadian Tire – Calgary, AB

Canadian Tire Corporation is looking for an Analyst, Vendor Standards to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. About the Role: Analyst, Vendor Standards

Day to day, you’ll be maintaining and updating vendor standards manuals and policies, monitoring vendor performance against key operational standards, and developing scorecards, KPI reporting, and trend analyses to surface compliance issues and opportunities for improvement. You’ll also review and investigate vendor inquiries and disputes, communicate outcomes clearly, and support chargeback processes.

Collaboration is a big part of this role. You’ll regularly partner with teams across Merchandising, Supply Chain Operations, Transportation, Distribution Centres, Finance, Accounting, IT, and third-party service providers. The goal is to reduce supply chain disruptions, improve inbound execution, and continuously refine vendor compliance standards across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

As the Analyst, Vendor Standards, your work directly supports the integrity of Canadian Tire’s vendor compliance programs across multiple banners. Each responsibility contributes to smoother inbound execution, stronger vendor relationships, and cleaner supply chain data across the organization.

• Maintain and update vendor standards manuals, policies, and documentation for domestic and import vendors, and communicate updates across banners
• Monitor and analyze vendor compliance across packaging, labelling, ticketing, documentation accuracy, routing, transportation, ASN compliance, and shipment quality
• Develop vendor performance reporting, scorecards, and KPI insights to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
• Support vendor accountability through compliance tracking, issue follow-up, standards reviews, and consistent application of chargeback processes
• Review and investigate vendor inquiries and disputes using data, policy requirements, and supporting documentation; communicate outcomes to vendors and internal teams
• Partner with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Transportation, Distribution Centres, Finance, IT, and third-party providers to resolve compliance issues
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve vendor standards processes and reporting across Mark’s, FGL, and the broader enterprise
• Pull, validate, and summarize ad hoc data related to vendors, purchase orders, compliance penalties, shipment performance, and vendor inquiries

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a solid mix of analytical capability and supply chain or operations experience. • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in vendor standards, supplier performance, supply chain, logistics, retail operations, finance operations, or business analytics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, and data analysis; experience with Power BI, SQL, or Oracle databases is an asset
• Functional understanding of EDI, ASN, purchase order, routing, transportation, and inbound shipment compliance processes
• Experience interpreting policies and supporting vendor inquiries, chargebacks, disputes, or compliance reviews
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across internal teams, vendors, and third-party service providers
• Knowledge of JDA Portfolio Merchandise Management (PMM), vendor portals, or supplier performance platforms is considered an asset
