About the Role: Customs Brokerage Rep I
At its core, this role is about processing customs clearances and declarations for repetitive and non-complex shipments. Using the CCBS system alongside your own skills, you’ll be creating and modifying line codes and classifications, handling import permits, and ensuring proper documentation reaches the appropriate government channels. You’ll serve a broad range of internal and external clients including import operations, inbound services, consulting, and sales teams.
This position operates Monday to Friday, with a shift of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PT, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Some flexibility with start and finish times is expected. The work is fully remote, making it an accessible opportunity for candidates across British Columbia.

Responsibilities
Working as a Customs Brokerage Rep I, your day-to-day will involve managing the documentation and communication flow that keeps shipments compliant and on schedule. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential — every step you take directly supports import operations and client satisfaction.
- Process customs clearances and confirm declarations for repetitive and non-complex shipments using the CCBS system
- Create and modify line codes and HS classifications within client profiles in the CCBS system
- Perform data entry including opening customer files, validating information, and handling credit and invoicing tasks
- Collect supplementary documentation from customers, drivers, customs offices, and other relevant parties as needed
- Identify discrepancies in customer profiles and flag issues for resolution
- Respond to standard inquiries from customers, drivers, and customs or government offices
- Handle delivery service requests and import permits, and ensure proper documentation is submitted to the government
- Collaborate as a team member with clients, UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents
Requirements / Skills

- Basic understanding of the HS (Harmonized System) classification system
- Basic computer skills with comfort navigating data entry systems
- Bilingualism at an intermediate level is required for candidates in Quebec (not applicable for Richmond)
- Ability to commit to a full 5-day workweek with flexibility on shift start and end times
