About the Role: Consultant, Analytics & Insights
As a Consultant, Analytics & Insights at Amazon, you’ll act as an analytical advisor to some of the largest advertisers in the world. Your work will directly influence upfront strategy discussions, shape how Amazon Advertising partners analyze campaign performance, and help unlock new business opportunities through data-driven recommendations. You’ll develop deep expertise in Amazon’s unique metrics and constantly push the boundaries of how data insights are communicated.
This role also involves collaborating closely with internal teams — including Account Management, Sales, and Product — by writing clear, persuasive documents that inform how these teams operate. Building strong relationships with senior marketing decision-makers, including director and C-level contacts, is a core part of the job. Being recognized as a go-to expert in at least one advanced area of advertising analytics is an expected outcome of this position.
Benefits and Salary
The base salary range for this position is $99,900 to $166,900 CAD annually for Toronto, ON. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the analytical backbone for advertiser success at Amazon. From developing data-driven insights to influencing how internal teams operate, your work will span both strategic advisory and hands-on analysis. Here’s what you can expect on a regular basis:
- Deliver insights for some of the world’s largest advertisers to help drive their businesses forward
- Serve as an analytical consultant for advertisers, providing relevant insights that feed into upfront strategy discussions and negotiations
- Build relationships with senior marketing decision-makers (senior director and C-level) and establish yourself as a go-to expert in at least one advanced analytical area of advertising
- Develop expertise in Amazon’s proprietary metrics and continuously evolve how data-driven insights are analyzed and communicated
- Drive decisions that improve data accessibility for both internal teams and external partners, including leveraging previously untapped datasets
- Write recommendation documents that influence how partner teams — including Account Management, Sales, and Product — operate within Amazon Advertising
Requirements / Skills
Amazon is looking for a candidate who brings both technical depth and strong communication skills to this role. You should be comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, querying data independently, and presenting complex findings clearly to senior audiences. Here’s what they’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution implementation
- Knowledge of primary AWS services including EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, and S3
- Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
- Proficiency in SQL or Python for data analysis and insight generation
- Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or an equivalent quantitative field — or experience defining and creating benchmarks for assessing GenAI model performance
- Preferred: 5+ years of IT implementation experience and/or a degree in advanced technology or an AWS Professional level certification
