As a Bank Recruiter at Canadian Tire, you’ll be embedded in the Banking recruitment function, handling multiple active requisitions simultaneously in a high-volume corporate recruitment environment. From pipelining passive candidates to coordinating interviews and extending competitive offers, you’ll be the key connector between top talent and the business teams that need them.
Beyond sourcing and hiring, you’ll also contribute to special HR projects in collaboration with HR Ops and Workday Architecture teams. Clear communication, strong stakeholder management, and a knack for setting expectations are all essential to success in this role. You’ll also serve as a brand ambassador for Canadian Tire throughout the candidate experience.
Benefits and Salary
This contract role offers a broadband salary range of $27.00–$45.00 per hour, with a typical hiring range of $27.00–$36.00 per hour. Compensation decisions will reflect your experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Responsibilities
This role puts you at the centre of Canadian Tire’s Banking recruitment operations, where speed, quality, and relationship-building all matter equally. - Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate job requisitions, handling multiple positions simultaneously in a high-volume setting
- Own the full recruitment lifecycle — from pipelining and sourcing passive and active candidates, screening, interviewing, and advising on selection, to extending and negotiating offers
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, candidates, and subject-matter experts
- Set clear expectations with stakeholders and develop tailored recruitment strategies and talent recommendations
- Leverage recruitment tools including Workday ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Indeed to manage pipelines and track metrics accurately
- Participate in special HR projects in collaboration with HR Ops, Workday Architecture, and other internal teams as needed
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Canadian Tire, representing the company professionally throughout every stage of the candidate journey
Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings solid corporate recruitment experience, ideally within the Banking or financial services sector. Canadian Tire values recruiters who can manage complexity, communicate with clarity, and build genuine trust with the people they work with.
- 2–4+ years of corporate high-volume recruitment experience, including direct experience with Banking recruitment; agency background is a strong asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously at various stages of the hiring process
- Full-cycle recruitment experience, from sourcing through to offer and onboarding coordination
- Strong communication skills and the ability to act as a credible brand ambassador for the organization
- Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms; Workday experience is a strong asset
- Proven relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external candidates
