About the Role: Bakery Associate

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the quality and visual presentation of bakery merchandise including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls. You’ll follow thawing and baking guidelines to prepare products accurately, ensure the department is fully stocked for business, and make sure all items are properly signed and priced at all times.

A key part of this role involves food safety compliance — including cold chain procedures, thermometer calibration, temperature recording, product rotation, and adhering to sell-by and expiration dates. You’ll also follow sanitation and cleaning procedures and ensure all displays are arranged in a safe and proper manner, contributing to a clean and welcoming department.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.05 per hour. • Manage ordering and clearance procedures in accordance with department standards
• Secure all displays safely and properly to prevent hazards in the department
