About the Role: Baker

Responsibilities

Working in Costco’s high-volume bakery department, you’ll handle everything from raw ingredient preparation through to finished baked goods. Each task is guided by Costco’s standardized formulas and production procedures, ensuring quality and consistency across every product that hits the shelves.

  • Assemble and measure large quantities of ingredients according to Costco formulas, using a calculator to adjust yields as required
  • Operate power equipment including dough rollers, muffin depositors, crust machines, and power mixers to prepare batters, dough, frosting, and fillings
  • Roll, cut, and shape dough for a variety of breads and pastries, and transfer raw product to raising rooms
  • Monitor and operate large ovens, removing baked products to cooling racks at the appropriate time and feeding dough into automated dough machines
  • Maintain sanitation standards, monitor temperatures and pull dates, and comply with all health code requirements
  • Follow department production procedures to uphold quality and consistency of finished products
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to Costco members throughout the shift
  • Assist with general bakery duties and support other warehouse areas as needed

Requirements / Skills
