About the Role: AVP, Replenishment
In this position, you’ll lead the full Replenishment organization, overseeing Replenishment Managers, Analysts, and Process teams responsible for managing inventory flow across Canadian Tire’s retail network. You’ll serve as the single point of contact between Merchandising and Supply Chain, ensuring that key programs, seasonal events, and marketing initiatives are fully supported from a product flow perspective. The role also involves modernizing replenishment tools, reporting, and operating rhythms to reduce friction for merchants and stores.
Success in this role means delivering measurable improvements in service levels, standing order reduction, excess inventory management, and late-schedule performance—particularly through seasonal and hyper-season peaks. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners in Integrated Planning, FP&A, Marketing, and Supply Chain, and manage relationships with both North American and offshore product suppliers to maintain proactive communication on supply risks.

Responsibilities
The AVP, Replenishment carries broad accountability for how inventory moves across Canadian Tire’s entire retail network. Day-to-day, this means leading a large, multi-layered team, navigating complex cross-functional relationships, and driving continuous improvement in replenishment systems and processes. These responsibilities are central to the company’s ability to deliver core retail fundamentals at scale.
- Lead a large team of Replenishment Managers and Analysts to successfully manage inventory flow and product availability across all Canadian Tire divisions
- Oversee the Replenishment Support team in maintaining JDA technology, managing replenishment parameters, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Serve as the single point of contact between Merchandising and Supply Chain, ensuring alignment on key programs, marketing events, and product flow goals
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Integrated Planning, Supply Chain, and FP&A to manage inbound inventory flow
- Manage relationships with product suppliers across North America and offshore, maintaining proactive communication on supply risks and disruptions
- Foster a high-performance team environment, determining appropriate resourcing and providing overall direction to support strategic execution
Requirements / Skills
Canadian Tire is seeking a decisive, analytically strong leader who brings deep expertise in end-to-end supply chain operations and a proven ability to lead large, complex teams. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational rigour and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability retail environment.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, with a university or college degree in Engineering or equivalent demonstrated accomplishments
- Strong analytical capabilities in process design, optimization, and practical application to replenishment and inventory management
- Proven people management skills with emphasis on leadership, sound judgment, decisiveness, urgency, and customer focus
- Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including replenishment and order management processes
- Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and presentation — with exceptional collaboration and influencing capabilities
- Strong track record of driving business results and leading performance transformation initiatives at scale
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams aligned to a compelling vision
