Responsibilities
As the Dispensing Audiologist at this Scarborough Costco location, your daily work centres on providing comprehensive hearing care from assessment through to instrument fitting. Each task is designed to ensure members receive clinically sound, personalized service that meets both their hearing and communication needs.
- Assess hearing through full diagnostic evaluations including history taking, air and bone conduction thresholds, and speech testing
- Recommend and dispense hearing instruments appropriate to each member’s needs, or refer when necessary
- Conduct hearing aid evaluations, fittings, verification, and validation to confirm optimal instrument performance
- Perform impression taking, shell repair, and modifications as required during the dispensing process
- Maintain complete records and documentation in compliance with professional and organizational standards
- Adhere to infection control, privacy, and confidentiality protocols at all times
- Stay knowledgeable about all hearing centre products and services to support informed member recommendations
- Collaborate with support staff to ensure appropriate task allocation and smooth clinic operations
- Assist in other warehouse areas as needed on a non-essential basis
Requirements / Skills
Costco is looking for a fully credentialled Dispensing Audiologist with strong clinical skills and a genuine commitment to member service. - Master’s Degree in Audiology with all qualifications required to dispense hearing aids in Ontario
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Clinical experience in audiology or hearing instrument dispensing is preferred
- Attention to detail and technical aptitude essential for accurate assessment and fitting
