Responsibilities

As an Associate Project Manager on the Infrastructure team, your work directly enables the successful delivery of IT programs across Canadian Tire’s enterprise. You’ll be the connective tissue between squads, sponsors, and senior leaders — ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and that every initiative moves forward with clarity and accountability.

  • Enable delivery execution by coordinating visibility and readiness across squads involved in IT infrastructure projects
  • Support program planning by developing and maintaining initiative-level plans covering scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource tracking
  • Coordinate stakeholder communication by preparing status updates, gathering inputs, and maintaining regular contact with team members and sponsors
  • Prepare governance materials for steering committees and delivery forums, ensuring adherence to established processes
  • Track cross-squad activities to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and milestones
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies while supporting mitigation planning and resolution
  • Monitor delivery progress against defined plans, reporting accurately on KPIs, milestones, and overall status
  • Maintain delivery artifacts including plans, RAID logs, and status reports to ensure consistency, accuracy, and audit readiness
  • Support change management activities including scope, schedule, and financial tracking updates under guidance from Delivery Program Managers
  • Assist with program closure activities including documentation, reporting, and lessons learned

Requirements / Skills

  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies including SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban
  • Financial management basics including budgeting support, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis
  • Proficiency with the MS Suite — particularly Excel and PowerPoint — and working experience with Jira
  • Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Lucid, MS Project, and Planview is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple teams and organizational levels, with empathy and emotional intelligence
