Benefits and Salary
The typical hiring range for this role is $64,000 – $106,000 CAD annually, with final compensation based on experience, skills, and market factors. Responsibilities
This role covers a broad range of ESG reporting, data management, and stakeholder coordination activities. You’ll be at the centre of Canadian Tire’s annual ESG cycle — from data collection through to final publication — while also supporting ongoing ratings processes, board materials, and business unit engagement throughout the year.
- Support ESG initiative execution across business units by tracking progress, identifying gaps, and maintaining alignment among stakeholders
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the annual ESG Report, including stakeholder coordination, content development, and quality assurance
- Own ESG ratings and rankings submissions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with external methodologies
- Develop Board and executive ESG materials, maintaining a high standard of accuracy, clarity, and decision-readiness
- Support ESG metrics and KPI development, with emphasis on data quality, consistency, and audit-readiness
- Monitor ESG trends and regulatory developments, translating insights into practical implications for the business
- Act as a partner to business teams in supporting the adoption of ESG priorities within their areas
- Contribute to additional ESG projects as required by the team
Requirements / Skills
The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of relevant corporate experience with a demonstrated focus on ESG, sustainability, or CSR reporting. - 5–10 years of corporate experience, with a focus on ESG, sustainability, CSR, or related reporting functions

- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership
- Proven stakeholder management ability, with experience coordinating across functions to move complex work forward
- Knowledge of ESG ratings methodologies and GHG accounting/emissions concepts (considered an asset)
- Understanding of ESG-related regulatory frameworks (considered an asset)
- Retail industry experience is an asset
