About the Role: Associate Manager, Changeover Data & Analytics
In this position, you’ll take ownership of a critical business function that supports large-scale operational transitions across Canadian Tire’s national retail network. Responsibilities
This role demands a blend of technical data expertise and business acumen. Day to day, you’ll be building pipelines, developing dashboards, and ensuring the right data reaches the right people at the right time. These responsibilities are foundational to Canadian Tire’s ongoing operational modernization efforts and directly support better outcomes for stores, dealers, and customers coast to coast.
- Build and improve data models and data mining techniques, exploring opportunities to integrate AI and machine learning into changeover operational processes
- Develop reporting dashboards and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights for internal teams and the dealer network, leveraging AI-powered analytics tools
- Review and enhance key tools used by the changeover team and Dealers/stores to improve usability and efficiency
- Partner with business stakeholders to ingest new data sources, create usable datasets, and deliver ad hoc business reporting and analysis
- Query, extract, and transform raw data from multiple sources to build robust data pipelines and conduct in-depth analysis of changeover-specific data
- Develop and improve key reporting tools using KNIME, MS Excel, and BI platforms
- Act as Changeover data steward, improving data handling practices and partnering with IT, stakeholders, and Dealers to influence decision-making with data
Requirements / Skills

- 5+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related field within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- Advanced SQL expertise and strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and transformation
- Demonstrated experience building data models, ETL processes, reporting frameworks, and analytical solutions
- Strong BI platform experience with Power BI or Tableau, plus advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
- Cloud and data warehousing experience with platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Cloudera, or similar
- Automation tool exposure (KNIME, Power Automate, Power Apps, or VBA) considered an asset
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — ability to explain the “so what” behind the data and influence business decisions at all levels
