About the Role: Associate Customer Acquisition Representative
As an ACAR at Amazon Web Services, you’ll be responsible for initiating early-stage customer contact through cold calls, lead follow-up, and prospect research. Your goal is to generate qualified first-meeting bookings for AWS sellers each week — a key metric that drives the top of the sales funnel. You’ll also document pre-qualification information, maintain CRM records, and identify key customer contacts and pain points through thorough internal and external research.
You’ll work closely within the Customer Acquisition organization, supported by structured coaching and daily performance targets. Strong candidates in this role bring a customer-first mindset, resilience in outbound sales, and a genuine curiosity for cloud technology. Benefits and Salary
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $21.58 to $36.10 CAD, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. As part of Amazon’s total compensation approach, the package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Responsibilities
Day-to-day, the Associate Customer Acquisition Representative plays a critical role in building the early stages of the AWS sales pipeline. You’ll spend much of your time on outbound prospecting activities, generating qualified meetings, and supporting sellers with thorough pre-call research and documentation. Every interaction is an opportunity to create customer value and build your own skills in cloud technology sales.
- Prospect and engage with potential customers through outbound activities, including cold calls and lead follow-up, to generate a minimum number of first sales meetings per week
- Document and share comprehensive pre-qualification information to support effective initial sales conversations with AWS sellers
- Research and identify key customer contacts and potential pain points through internal and external sources
- Apply AWS qualification methodology to support initial discovery conversations with both new and existing customers
- Maintain CRM accuracy by investigating and updating account records in internal systems
- Continuously develop knowledge of AWS offerings, industry trends, and cloud computing advancements including Generative AI
- Drive results toward daily and quarterly targets within a structured, performance-driven team environment
Requirements / Skills
