Responsibilities

The Assistant Store Manager is at the centre of store operations on a daily basis. From ensuring the team follows company guidelines to stepping up as the acting manager when needed, this role requires someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable leading by example in a fast-paced retail setting.

  • Support the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily retail store operations
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Manager, taking full responsibility for the store
  • Communicate and enforce company rules, regulations, and policies with all team members
  • Oversee inventory counts in a prompt and accurate manner to ensure proper resupply of goods
  • Maintain merchandising standards by ensuring established practices are consistently followed on the floor
  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new employees to build a strong, capable team
  • Train and develop team members to help them perform their roles effectively
  • Organize priorities and manage time efficiently to keep operations on track throughout each shift
