Responsibilities
As Assistant Senior Manager – Facility Operations, your day-to-day work will centre on supporting leadership across the facility and ensuring every team operates in line with FedEx’s high standards. - Assist the Senior Manager in directing staff managers across all areas of facility operations and maintenance
- Optimise facility performance by ensuring safety, security, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met
- Champion the FedEx Safety Above All Culture throughout the facility and among all team members
- Lead operational teams by providing guidance, performance management, and day-to-day direction
- Monitor facility operations to identify and address inefficiencies or compliance gaps promptly
- Support service delivery expectations by ensuring processes align with FedEx’s operational and quality standards
- Complete mandatory training and recurrence accreditations as required by the business
Requirements / Skills
FedEx is looking for a candidate who brings both formal education and proven hands-on management experience to this role. The ideal person has demonstrated the ability to lead people, manage performance, and drive results in an operational setting — all within a recent timeframe.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent education is required
- Minimum four (4) years of business experience, including at least one (1) year of direct employee management and operational leadership
- Recent management experience — the one year of direct management must fall within the past four years
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Proficiency in a PC Windows environment and ability to complete all required testing and training
- Ability to work varying shifts based on business needs
- Bilingualism in French and English is required if residing in the province of Quebec
