Key Responsibilities
Amazon is seeking an Area Manager II who will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of hourly workforce within a fulfillment center. The role includes the following key responsibilities:
- Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to ensure peak performance.
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to meet Amazon’s high standards.
- Collaborate with support teams such as Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and Quality Assurance to develop and execute plans to meet business objectives.
- Physical activity: Lift up to 49 pounds, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts, and work in an environment with variable noise levels and temperatures.
- Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
Basic Qualifications
Amazon requires the following basic qualifications for the Area Manager II position:
- 2+ years of experience in employee and performance management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Area Manager II position will have the following preferred qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
