Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be actively involved in the physical handling and processing of mail and parcels throughout each shift. Every task you perform contributes directly to ensuring Canadians receive their mail accurately and on time — making precision and reliability key parts of the job.
- Receive and accept incoming mail items at the facility
- Sort, scan, and sequence mail items to prepare them for dispatch
- Batch and organize mail items as part of the processing workflow
- Transfer and dispatch parcels and packets to the appropriate destinations
- Complete reports and documentation accurately as required
- Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs) as part of regular duties
- Perform other postal clerk duties as assigned and required
