About the Role: Analytics Engineer

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll contribute to a portfolio of best-in-class data products and services that power customer-focused analytics across the organization. Your day-to-day will involve monitoring Loyalty domain data feeds, supporting partnership initiatives with end-to-end testing, and contributing to the True North program through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and data table validation. Responsibilities

As an Analytics Engineer on the Loyalty Data Product Engineering team, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining data integrity, supporting program initiatives, and helping the business make better decisions through quality data products. The work spans testing, pipeline development, stakeholder communication, and ad hoc analytics — making every day a bit different from the last.

  • Monitor and maintain the quality of Loyalty domain data feeds, including incident investigation, resolution, and ongoing data quality governance
  • Support partnership initiatives through end-to-end testing, post-launch data validation, and issue remediation to ensure accurate data integration and reporting
  • Contribute to the True North program by performing UAT and validating Loyalty-related data tables, business processes, and downstream impacts
  • Manage stakeholder communications related to Loyalty domain data changes, providing subject matter expertise and supporting ad hoc business and operational requests
  • Implement and test data pipelines to monitor and validate model assumptions and performance, adhering to coding standards
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications that support work processes and strategic business objectives
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, providing scalable resolutions with follow-through under supervision
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects leveraging multiple internal and external data sources such as point-of-sale, loyalty issuance, product hierarchy, and customer data

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a solid academic foundation in a technical field along with at least a year of hands-on data engineering or analytics experience.   • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a related field
  • 1+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data analytics

  • Knowledge of database management systems such as Hadoop, Hive, MySQL, or Databricks
  • Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to interpret and test complex queries, joins, and subqueries independently

  • Familiarity with Git for version control and an understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
