Amazon Grocery Associate – Amazon.com Services LLC – Plymouth Meeting, PA – $15.50 to $21.75/hour
Join Amazon’s grocery team and be part of one of Amazon’s newest and most exciting initiatives. As a Grocery Associate, you’ll be involved in preparing grocery orders for delivery, working in both a small format grocery warehouse with automation and Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods grocery stores.
From fresh produce to organic artisanal ice cream, your work will directly impact the customer’s shopping experience, including occasionally interacting with customers on the store floor.

Role of the Amazon Grocery Associate
As an Amazon Grocery Associate, your duties may include:
- Prepare grocery orders for delivery.
- Use technology like computers and smartphones to manage apps, scan barcodes, and process orders.
- Intake new grocery inventory and put it away.
- Check order quality and ensure products are delivered in top condition.
- Rotate tasks and responsibilities to maintain variety throughout the week.
You’ll also need to:
- Lift up to 49 pounds.
- Work in temperatures as low as -10°F and up to 90°F for extended periods.
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during your shift.
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items.
- Work with various products, including meat and alcohol.
What it’s like inside the Operation
Your safety is a priority at Amazon. We provide protective gear and share safety tips daily. Some tasks may require standing for extended periods, walking around, or climbing stairs. If you work in freezer environments, you’ll be provided with proper safety gear and breaks every 30 minutes to ensure your well-being.
Shift Flexibility: Shifts are available based on business needs and follow operating business hours, which may vary. Shift times average 3-5 hours, with flexible scheduling options for up to 20 hours per week.
Anytime Pay: You can instantly cash out up to 70% of your earnings immediately after your shift with our Anytime Pay feature (for select employee groups).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidates must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
While there are no specific preferred qualifications for this role, having previous experience in a customer service or grocery environment is a plus!
Working Conditions
This role requires you to work in various environments, including cold storage areas such as freezers (up to -10°F) and refrigerators. Proper safety gear will be provided for these tasks. You’ll also be expected to work in fast-paced settings where standing, walking, and lifting are required.
Compensation & Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $15.50/hour in our lowest geographic market up to $21.75/hour in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefits may include:
