About the Role: Software Development Engineer, WW Deals & Promotions
As an SDE on the WW Deals & Promotions team, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery in a distributed systems environment. Your responsibilities will range from improving ranking and personalization systems to building entirely new discovery experiences and enabling AI agents to access critical data like pricing and inventory. Benefits and Salary
The base salary range for this position is $114,800 to $191,800 CAD annually for the Vancouver, BC location. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. - Design and ship features across the full stack, from customer-facing shopping experiences to backend services

- Integrate AI-driven automation by building services that allow AI agents to access critical data like pricing and inventory
- Build instrumentation and A/B testing frameworks to measure the impact of agent-driven strategies on customer engagement
- Contribute to a data flywheel by ensuring customer interactions feed back into automation intelligence
- Collaborate with internal business teams to automate manual, time-consuming tasks related to deal curation
- Own the reliability of the systems you build, contributing to operational excellence and high engineering standards
Requirements / Skills
Amazon is looking for engineers who are comfortable working through ambiguity and making sound tradeoffs between speed and quality. Candidates who have full-stack experience, a strong grasp of distributed systems design, and a genuine interest in owning their work end-to-end will be well-suited for this role.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience outside of internships
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience — including design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems
- Proficiency in at least one programming language used in professional software development
- 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience (preferred) — coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent (preferred)
