Job Summary & Tips for Applying
Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Technical Account Manager Associate II role at Google Cloud Consulting in Toronto is a customer-facing position focused on leading enterprise cloud transformations from implementation through to adoption. A strong candidacy puts 2+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles front and centre, backed by hands-on cloud operations experience (support, escalation management, capacity planning or consulting) and, where applicable, evidence of workload or application migration to public cloud.
Resume & Application Tips: Mirror the posting’s own language when describing your background: phrases like customer technical implementations, transformation programs and cloud escalation management are worth repeating in your work history section. For each past role, note the stakeholder level you engaged with and the scale of the engagement. A concrete achievement like “reduced customer escalation resolution time by 30% across a portfolio of 12 enterprise accounts” shows the kind of measurable impact this role calls for. If you have experience with migration projects, name the cloud provider and the workload type.
Interview Preparation: Prepare two or three examples from your own work that show how you managed competing priorities across multiple work streams and kept a customer’s technical program on track through a setback or escalation. Be ready to speak to how you’ve built relationships with executive and senior technical stakeholders and translated their business requirements into a technical plan. Since the posting does not state a start date, that is worth confirming. You might also ask how the consulting engagement portfolio is structured and what the typical mix of customer industries looks like for this team.
