Responsibilities
Day-to-day, this role is about keeping the store environment safe, organized, and customer-friendly. From the parking lot to the checkout lanes, the Stockperson/Cartpusher touches nearly every part of the customer journey — and doing it well makes a real difference in the shopping experience at Walmart Winnipeg.
- Collect and return shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and store perimeter using approved Walmart procedures, and complete the necessary Cart Retrieval Log
- Assist customers promptly at registers with carry-outs and carry-ins, verifying receipts for proof of purchase
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of restrooms on occasion, following correct procedures for handling chemicals and disposal
- Operate power equipment as needed, completing inspection reports prior to use
- Adhere to safety protocols including hazardous communications, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogen guidelines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment in accordance with Walmart policies
- Wear required personal protective equipment including steel toe footwear and a reflective vest during cart collection
- Complete safety sweeps throughout the store as required during each shift
