About the Role: Stockperson/Cartpusher

As a Stockperson/Cartpusher at Walmart Winnipeg, your primary responsibility is ensuring that shopping carts are collected and returned to designated storage areas using Walmart-approved procedures. You’ll also respond to requests from registers and customer service, help customers with carry-ins and carry-outs, and verify receipts when required. Beyond cart retrieval, you’ll take on occasional cleaning and maintenance duties, including restrooms, while following established chemical handling and disposal guidelines.

Safety is central to everything in this role. You’ll be expected to wear personal protective equipment — including steel toe footwear and a reflective vest — complete safety sweeps, and adhere to protocols covering hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines. Completing required equipment inspections before use and maintaining accurate logs are also part of the job. Flexibility with scheduling is essential, as shifts span mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights, including weekends and holidays.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.15 per hour. • Collect shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the store perimeter, returning them to designated storage areas using approved procedures
• Complete required logs accurately to track cart retrieval and equipment use
• Respond promptly to requests from registers and customer service, including assisting with carry-outs, carry-ins, and receipt verification
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties including restrooms, following proper chemical handling and disposal guidelines
• Complete equipment inspections before use and operate power equipment safely
• Adhere to all safety protocols including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines
• Wear required PPE including steel toe footwear and a reflective vest, and complete safety sweeps as required
• Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
