About the Role: Local Sort

Responsibilities
Working within the UPS Saskatoon Local Sort operation, your day-to-day tasks keep the supply chain moving. From the moment packages arrive at the facility to the time they’re loaded out for delivery, your role is central to the process. Here’s what you’ll be doing on a typical shift:
- Load and unload UPS packages into trailers and package cars
- Scan, sort, and stock packages accurately throughout the facility
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks as part of daily warehouse operations
- Learn and execute proper UPS package handling methods
- Operate heavy machinery where required to complete assigned tasks
- Perform additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced warehouse setting
Requirements / Skills
UPS is looking for someone who can keep up physically and mentally with a demanding warehouse environment. Reliability, physical capability, and a willingness to learn are the foundations of success in this role. Prior warehouse experience is a plus, but not a dealbreaker.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) consistently throughout a shift
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes accurately
- Flexible availability to work shift hours up to 5 days per week
