About the Role: Sales Account Manager
As a Sales Account Manager on the Automotive, Telecommunications, and Financial Services team, you’ll manage complex advertiser goals and deliver against ambitious targets. Your responsibilities span client relationship management, campaign strategy development, and in-depth data analysis — all with the goal of maximizing value for the advertisers you support. You’ll communicate the “why” behind performance results and make strategic recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
This is a highly collaborative role that demands strong communication skills, a comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Benefits and Salary
The base salary for this position ranges from $99,800 to $149,800 CAD annually for the Toronto location. Amazon’s total compensation package may also include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives where applicable. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Automotive, Telecommunications, and Financial Services advertisers, guiding them through the full lifecycle of their campaigns. Your work will directly influence revenue growth and client satisfaction, making both strategic thinking and hands-on execution essential parts of the job.
- Partner and advise as a knowledgeable leader on Amazon Ads solutions, helping advertisers navigate available products and strategies
- Retain and grow revenue from an existing portfolio of advertisers by identifying new opportunities and deepening relationships
- Develop media strategies tailored to each advertiser’s overall goals and objectives, ensuring campaigns are set up for success
- Build campaign strategies and audience engagement recommendations that align with client KPIs
- Analyze performance data to evaluate success metrics, understand trends, and drive ongoing campaign optimization
- Deliver actionable recommendations through in-depth data analysis for both short-term and long-term advertising strategy
- Educate advertisers on performance metrics, insights, and best practices to help them achieve stronger results
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Creative, Product, and Ad Tech partners to drive incremental revenue and improve advertiser satisfaction
Requirements / Skills
Amazon is looking for a candidate who brings a strong blend of analytical ability, digital media expertise, and client-facing communication skills. The ideal applicant is comfortable working with large datasets, managing competing priorities, and delivering results in a fast-moving, agile environment.
- 5+ years of experience in digital media/marketing strategy, data analysis, and analytics or data visualization
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering, or Business
- Data analysis proficiency — experience working with large datasets and translating them into actionable business insights
- Comfort with ambiguity — proven ability to prioritize needs and deliver measurable results in dynamic environments
- Project management skills — ability to handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
- Executive communication — experience presenting to senior management and clients both verbally and in writing
- CRM tools such as Salesforce are considered an asset, as is experience in customer-facing or sales roles
- Knowledge of digital media including DSPs, programmatic media, digital video, and performance advertising is a strong advantage
