About the Role: Relief Pharmacist

As a Relief Pharmacist, you’ll work alongside the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist to support all areas of pharmacy operations. You’ll accept and process prescriptions from patients, physicians, and hospitals, ensuring every prescription is filled accurately, efficiently, and safely in line with established workflow models. Patient counselling is a key part of this role — you’ll guide patients through their medications and ensure they receive all eligible services, including medication reviews and injections.

This position requires travel to various store locations as scheduled by the Relief program coordinator, so flexibility and adaptability are essential. You’ll be expected to maintain strict patient privacy in accordance with provincial regulations, follow all OBW/SOP guidelines, and operate pharmacy equipment including the register and computer systems. Building collaborative relationships with in-store healthcare providers such as clinics and Vision Centre staff is also an important part of the role.

Benefits and Salary

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive all eligible services they’re entitled to, including medication reviews and injections
• Maintain patient privacy at all times and comply with provincial regulatory requirements
• Follow OBW/SOP guidelines and Relief Pharmacist program regulations consistently
• Travel to various locations as per the schedule set by the Relief program coordinator
• Build collaborative relationships with in-store healthcare providers including clinics and Vision Centre staff
• Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products and operate all pharmacy equipment
• Support patient experience by locating merchandise on the sales floor when needed

Requirements / Skills
