Job Summary & Tips for Applying
Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Production Control Planning Supervisor position at DHL Supply Chain in Bolton, ON pays $62,000–$75,000 plus bonus and centres on daily production planning, workload management and team leadership in a logistics customization environment. On your resume, prioritize production planning or scheduling experience tied to real volume decisions, and any LEAN or continuous improvement involvement that shows you can drive process change, not just document it.
Resume & Application Tips: The posting specifically calls out MS Excel proficiency and strong written and verbal communication with multiple stakeholders, so name those directly rather than burying them in a skills list. Under your experience entries, show how you managed competing priorities across shifts or adjusted staffing when volumes shifted. A concrete example works well here: for instance, noting that you re-sequenced a production schedule to absorb a 20% volume spike without adding headcount gives reviewers something specific to work with.
Interview Preparation: Prepare one or two examples from your own work that show how you ran a planning meeting or adjusted a work schedule under changing conditions, since those are named daily duties in this posting. Be ready to speak to how you balance staffing requirements against available equipment and space. The posting mentions Nulogy as a system you may need to learn, so it is worth asking during the interview how quickly new supervisors are expected to be productive in it and what training is provided.
