Job Summary & Tips for Applying

AI-generated summary and tips to help you highlight your strengths effectively.

Quick Summary & What to Highlight: This Store Manager position at Dollarama in Sherbrooke is a full-time role starting at $21.14/hour, overseeing all store operations including staffing, scheduling, merchandising and inventory. Candidates should put their retail experience (at least two years) and team management experience (at least one year) front of mind on the resume, tied directly to results like reduced turnover or improved store metrics.

Resume & Application Tips: The application form asks specifically how many years of experience you have in retail, in managing employees and in being responsible for store results and overall operations. Match your resume sections to those three areas with concrete examples. For instance, if you managed a team of eight and cut scheduling conflicts by adjusting the rotation, that kind of detail shows both team management and time organization. Have your resume saved as a PDF, JPG or DOCX file under 8 MB before you open the form.

Interview Preparation: Come ready with a specific example of a time you handled inventory management under pressure and another where you recruited or trained a new employee who went on to perform well. Since the schedule covers days, evenings and weekends at 40 to 50 hours per week, be prepared to confirm that availability clearly. A question worth asking is whether the travel requirement within the assigned region involves a set frequency or is on an as-needed basis.
