About the Role: Produce Stocker

As a Produce Stocker, your primary focus is keeping the produce department clean, fully stocked, and properly zoned at all times. You’ll rotate products, remove expired items, and ensure everything on the floor meets food safety and freshness standards. From pricing accuracy to proper signage, the details matter in this role.

You’ll be expected to follow food safety, sanitation, and cold chain procedures — including temperature checks and proper food handling — while also adhering to Walmart’s Health and Safety policies. Flexibility with scheduling is important, as shifts can include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay starts at $19.05 per hour. Responsibilities

Working in the produce department means staying on top of product rotation, cleanliness, and stocking throughout your shift. These responsibilities keep the department running smoothly and ensure customers always find fresh, well-organized produce when they shop.

• Maintain organization by keeping the produce department clean, zoned, and customer-ready at all times
• Rotate and inspect products regularly, removing expired or low-quality items to uphold freshness standards
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage, following proper procedures for labels, markups, markdowns, and clearance
• Follow food safety protocols, including cold chain compliance, temperature checks, thermometer use, and sell-by date monitoring
• Stock and downsock merchandise as needed, set modulars and shelf caps to keep the department fully stocked
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
• Manage physical demands including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
