Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be performing a range of hands-on operational tasks to keep mail flowing efficiently through the night. Each task plays an important part in ensuring Canadians receive their mail and parcels on time.
- Receive and accept incoming mail items at the sorting facility
- Sort, scan, sequence, and batch mail items according to postal guidelines
- Transfer and load sorted mail onto postal trucks for dispatch
- Transfer and dispatch parcels and packets as required
- Complete reports and documentation accurately as part of shift duties
- Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs)
- Perform other postal clerk duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements / Skills
