About the Role: Postal Clerk

Responsibilities

Working in a postal plant environment, Postal Clerks play a direct role in ensuring mail and parcels reach their destinations on time. From receiving shipments to loading trucks, each responsibility is part of a larger, well-coordinated operation that keeps Canada Post functioning across the country.

  • Receive and accept incoming mail items at the facility
  • Sort, scan, sequence, and batch mail items accurately for processing
  • Transfer and load parcels and packets onto postal trucks
  • Transfer and dispatch parcels and packets as required
  • Complete reports and necessary documentation for each shift
  • Lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs)
  • Perform additional postal clerk duties as assigned

Requirements / Skills
