Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll spend most of your time outdoors and on the sales floor keeping carts available and the store environment safe for customers and staff. Your contributions directly support store operations and customer satisfaction on a daily basis.

  • Collect shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and store perimeter using Walmart-approved procedures, and ensure the Cart Retrieval Log is properly maintained
  • Assist customers promptly at all registers with carry-outs or carry-ins, and verify receipts for proof of purchase
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of restrooms on an occasional basis, following correct procedures for handling chemicals and using power equipment
  • Adhere to safety and emergency procedures including hazardous communications, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogen guidelines
  • Wear personal protective equipment including steel-toe footwear and a reflective vest during cart collection
  • Complete safety sweeps as required throughout your shift
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following all Company policies and procedures
