About the Role: Package Handler/Non-Driver

As a Package Handler at FedEx Saint-Laurent, your core responsibility is managing the flow of freight through the facility. You’ll be loading and unloading trucks, scanning parcels using FedEx systems, and sorting freight to the correct destinations. This is an active role that keeps you on your feet throughout your shift, and your attention to detail and physical capability are what make operations run smoothly.

You’ll be expected to complete all basic and recurrency training, follow FedEx Canada operational procedures, and adhere to Canadian Customs regulations. Responsibilities

Day-to-day, a Package Handler at FedEx is the backbone of the sorting facility. Every shift, you’ll be hands-on with freight at various stages — from arrival to dispatch — ensuring that packages are handled safely and efficiently while maintaining the speed the FedEx network depends on.

• Load and unload freight from trailers and delivery vehicles within the facility
• Scan packages using FedEx systems to track and verify shipments accurately
• Sort freight to the correct destinations according to routing instructions
• Handle packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently, and manoeuvre parcels up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
• Complete all required training, including basic onboarding and recurrency training as mandated
• Follow FedEx Canada operational procedures and Canadian Customs regulations at all times
• Work varying shifts based on business needs, with mandatory availability on Saturdays

Requirements / Skills

FedEx is looking for candidates who are physically capable, reliable, and detail-oriented. Since the facility is located in Quebec, the ability to communicate in both French and English is essential. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is an asset but not strictly required.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Willingness and ability to complete all basic and recurrency training requirements
• Bilingual (French and English) — required for positions in the province of Quebec
• Comfortable working in a PC Windows environment for scanning and tracking purposes
