About the Role: Package Handler / Non-Driver

This includes loading and unloading shipments, using scanning equipment to track packages, and sorting freight to ensure it moves to the correct destination. It’s a physically demanding role that requires stamina, focus, and a solid team-first attitude.
Because this position is based in Quebec, bilingualism in French and English is required. You’ll also be expected to follow FedEx Canada operations protocols and maintain compliance with Canadian Customs regulations. All employees must complete mandatory training, pass required assessments, and keep certifications current on a recurring basis.

Responsibilities
As a Package Handler at the Montreal-Est facility, your day revolves around the safe and accurate movement of freight. Every action you take — from scanning to sorting to loading — directly impacts whether a customer’s package arrives on time, making accuracy and physical reliability essential to this role.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and delivery vehicles at the facility
- Scan packages using FedEx equipment to ensure accurate tracking throughout the network

- Handle packages safely, including lifting up to 70 lbs independently and manoeuvring items up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Complete mandatory training and recurrency certifications as required by FedEx
- Operate in a PC Windows environment as needed for scanning and data entry tasks
- Adhere to FedEx Canada operations procedures and Canadian Customs regulations
- Work varying shifts based on operational business needs as required
Requirements / Skills
