Package Handler/Non-Driver – FedEx – Mirabel, QC

FedEx Canada is hiring a Package Handler / Non-Driver at their Mirabel, Quebec facility. From loading and unloading packages to scanning and sorting freight, every shift plays a direct role in getting shipments where they need to go on time.

About the Role: Package Handler / Non-Driver

As a Package Handler, your primary responsibilities revolve around the physical movement and processing of freight within the facility. You’ll be loading and unloading packages, using handheld scanners, and sorting items according to destination and routing requirements. This kind of work demands focus, physical stamina, and a commitment to accuracy — every package handled correctly contributes to customer satisfaction across the country.

Working at a FedEx Canada facility also means operating within established safety protocols and compliance standards, including an understanding of Canadian Customs regulations. This position offers a pay rate of $20.37 per hour. Responsibilities

In this role, your day-to-day duties are focused on keeping the facility running smoothly and freight moving accurately. Each task plays a critical part in FedEx Canada’s ability to deliver on its promises to customers coast to coast.

• Load and unload freight within the facility efficiently and safely
• Scan packages using the appropriate equipment to ensure accurate tracking
• Sort freight by destination and routing to support timely delivery
• Lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and manoeuvre items up to 150 lbs with proper equipment
• Complete mandatory training and recurrency programs as required by FedEx Canada
• Operate in a PC/Windows environment as part of daily facility functions
• Adapt to varying shifts based on business needs while maintaining performance standards

Requirements / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Bilingualism (French and English) required for Quebec-based candidates
• Physical ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Availability Monday to Saturday between 2:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
• Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training requirements successfully
