About the Role: Package Handler – Night

As a Package Handler on the night shift, your core duties revolve around the physical movement of packages through UPS’s Blainville sorting facility. You’ll be loading and unloading trailers, scanning and sorting packages, and stocking items — all while following UPS’s established package handling methods. The use of heavy machinery may be part of your day-to-day responsibilities depending on the task at hand.

Safety and accuracy are front and centre in this role. UPS has well-defined procedures for handling packages of varying sizes and weights, and you’ll be expected to learn and apply these methods correctly. Benefits and Salary

UPS offers a competitive starting hourly rate of $18/hour, with a maximum rate of $30.11/hour achievable through a progression period (probation + 48 months). The position is approximately 5 hours per day, with overtime kicking in after 5 hours. UPS also provides tuition reimbursement of up to $2,000 (conditions may apply), making this a solid option for those looking to work while continuing their education. Responsibilities

Working in a high-volume logistics environment, the Package Handler plays a critical role in UPS’s nightly operations. Every task performed directly impacts delivery accuracy and speed for customers across Quebec and beyond.

• Learn and apply UPS’s established package handling methods correctly and consistently
• Load and unload packages into trailers or package cars with care and efficiency
• Scan and sort packages accurately using UPS systems to ensure proper routing
• Stock packages in the appropriate areas within the facility
• Operate heavy machinery as required to complete assigned tasks
• Complete additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced warehouse setting

Requirements / Skills

UPS is looking for reliable, physically capable individuals who can keep up with the demands of a busy night shift operation. Attention to detail and a willingness to follow procedures are just as important as physical fitness in this role.

• Physical capability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs. / 32 kgs.
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes for accurate package sorting
• Schedule flexibility to work up to 5 days per week on the assigned shift
• Availability Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM
