Package Handler – UPS – Brossard, QC

UPS is hiring a Package Handler at their Brossard, Quebec facility, with a shift running Monday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This is a part-time position suited to someone who’s physically active, reliable, and looking to earn competitive wages with real room to grow over time.

Day to day, you’ll be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling packages as they move through the UPS network. The role involves loading, unloading, sorting, scanning, and stocking packages, with the possibility of operating heavy machinery as part of your duties.

About the Role: Package Handler

As a Package Handler at UPS Brossard, you’ll be responsible for the physical movement of parcels through the facility. That means loading and unloading trailers and package cars, scanning shipments, and keeping things organized and moving efficiently. You’ll learn and apply UPS package handling methods to ensure every parcel is treated properly throughout the process.

This is hands-on work that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures consistently. You’ll be part of a team working together to meet daily volume targets, so showing up on time and being dependable is essential. Benefits and Salary

This position starts at $18/hour, with a path to reach a maximum rate of $30.11/hour following probation and a 48-month progression. The shift is approximately 5 hours per day, with overtime kicking in after 5 hours of work. UPS also offers tuition reimbursement of up to $2,000 (conditions may apply), making this a solid option for students or anyone looking to build skills while earning.

Responsibilities

Working inside a busy UPS distribution facility, Package Handlers play a direct role in keeping the supply chain moving. Every shift, you’ll be contributing to the timely and accurate processing of thousands of parcels heading across Canada and beyond.

• Load and unload UPS packages into trailers or package cars safely and efficiently
• Learn and apply proper UPS package handling methods as trained
• Operate heavy machinery as required to complete assigned tasks
• Perform additional tasks as assigned within the fast-paced warehouse environment

Requirements / Skills

The right candidate for this role is someone who’s physically capable, dependable, and comfortable working in a structured, high-volume setting. Attention to detail and the ability to memorize information quickly are key assets in this position.

• Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) regularly throughout the shift
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes accurately to support proper sorting
• Schedule flexibility to work up to 5 days per week on a fixed evening shift (Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–10:00 PM)
