About the Role: Package Handler

Responsibilities

This role sits at the heart of FedEx’s daily operations. As a Package Handler, you’ll be responsible for ensuring freight flows smoothly through the facility — from the moment it arrives to when it’s ready for dispatch. Accuracy and physical readiness are key to succeeding in this position.

  • Load and unload freight at the facility efficiently and safely
  • Scan and sort packages to ensure accurate routing and delivery
  • Transport freight within and between FedEx facilities as required
  • Operate equipment to safely manoeuvre packages weighing up to 150 lbs
  • Complete all required training, including basic and recurrency training, and maintain annual accreditations where applicable
  • Work varying shifts as needed based on business requirements
  • Operate in a PC Windows environment for scanning, tracking, or documentation purposes
