Overnight Associate – Walmart – Thetford-Mines, QC
Location: Montreal, QC | Company: Walmart
Walmart’s store in Thetford-Mines, Quebec is looking for an Overnight Associate to join their in-store team. This is a permanent, hourly position that plays a key role in keeping the store stocked, organized, and ready for customers each morning. If you’re comfortable working overnight shifts and enjoy hands-on, physical work in a team environment, this could be a solid fit.
The overnight shift is where a lot of the behind-the-scenes work happens — unloading trailers, pulling pallets, stocking shelves, and making sure the sales floor is set up and labelled before the store opens. It’s steady, active work that requires focus and the ability to collaborate with colleagues to get things done efficiently.
About the Role: Overnight Associate
As an Overnight Associate, your primary focus is on merchandise flow — from the receiving dock to the sales floor. You’ll unload trailers, pull pallets, process merchandise, and ensure products are properly labelled and placed in the backroom bins or stocked directly on shelves. Compared to day and evening shifts, the overnight role places a stronger emphasis on labelling and backroom organization, in addition to general stocking duties.
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment is a core part of the job. You’ll follow Walmart’s company policies and procedures, complete safety sweep logs, and ensure all displays and fixtures are secure. This role requires both independence and the ability to work as part of a coordinated overnight team to meet operational goals before store opening.
Benefits and Salary
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.75 per hour. Walmart Canada also offers a range of benefits that may include comprehensive benefits coverage, life insurance, paid time off, a store discount, stock options, deferred profit sharing, and access to the Live Better U education program and EQ Health services. Eligibility for certain benefits is based on hours worked or employment status (full-time or part-time).
