About the Role: Over-the-Counter Associate
As an OTC Associate, your primary focus is on delivering exemplary customer service while keeping the over-the-counter department properly zoned, stocked, and presented. You’ll work closely with the Pharmacy Manager and OTC Department Manager to ensure the section meets Walmart’s standards for organization, pricing accuracy, and product freshness.
This role also requires a solid understanding of patient confidentiality and compliance with the Privacy Act. You’ll be expected to follow all established procedures for ordering, markdowns, signing, and labelling — contributing to a department that customers trust and return to regularly.
Benefits and Salary
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.75/hour. Responsibilities
Day-to-day, an OTC Associate at Walmart Windsor is responsible for keeping the department in top shape — from rotating stock to assisting customers with health product questions. These duties are critical to maintaining both customer satisfaction and departmental compliance with Walmart’s operational standards.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and following all practices consistent with the Privacy Act
- Maximizing department sales and profit with direction from the Pharmacy Manager
- Rotating stock and checking for expired products to ensure product safety
- Zoning the department to maintain organized, customer-friendly product placement
- Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labels
- Keeping the area N.C.O. (Neat, Clean, Organized) and free of debris, foreign objects, and liquids
- Maintaining zero pricing errors in line with Walmart’s Scanning Credibility Program
- Calibrating equipment used in the prescription filling process
