About the Role: Over-the-Counter Associate

As an OTC Associate at Walmart Canada, your day-to-day work centres on supporting the smooth operation of the over-the-counter health products department. You’ll assist customers directly, ensure product displays are well-maintained, and carry out key departmental tasks under the direction of the OTC Department Manager or Pharmacy Manager. Maintaining patient confidentiality and following privacy guidelines are also part of the role.

You’ll work as part of a collaborative store team dedicated to delivering a consistent, positive shopping experience. Attention to detail matters here — from rotating stock and checking expiry dates to maintaining zero pricing errors through the Scanning Credibility Program. Following proper procedures and keeping your area clean and organized are expectations of every shift.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $16.90 per hour. Responsibilities

The OTC Associate role covers a range of important tasks that keep the department running smoothly and customers well-served. From maintaining product integrity to ensuring accurate pricing, every responsibility contributes to a reliable and professional shopping environment.

• Maintaining patient confidentiality and following all practices consistent with the Privacy Act
• Maximizing department sales and profit with direction from the Pharmacy Manager
• Rotating stock and checking for expired products to ensure product quality
• Zoning the department to keep shelves organized and well-presented
• Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and signing/flagging/pricing/labels
• Keeping the area clean and free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids (N.C.O. standards)
• Maintaining zero pricing errors through adherence to the Scanning Credibility Program
• Calibrating equipment used in the prescription filling process as required
