Operations Supervisor – FedEx – Dorval, QC
Location: Montreal, QC | Company: Fedex
This full-time Operations Supervisor position at FedEx (Federal Express Corporation Canada) is based at the Dorval, QC station on Chemin St-François. The schedule runs Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Day to day, you’ll oversee sort operations and a team of Cargo Handlers, guiding them through proper package handling, routing and service-failure recovery.
About the Role: Operations Supervisor
Your primary responsibility is supporting the FedEx Express Safety Above All Culture while managing the station’s daily sort function. That means directing Cargo Handler work activities and stepping in to resolve service failures as they arise.
You’ll also carry a mentoring and coaching mandate: training employees, acting as a knowledge resource and holding the team accountable to FXE policies, procedures and government regulations. Administrative compliance sits alongside floor leadership as an equal part of the job.
Because this posting covers a bilingual station in Quebec, you must be proficient in both French and English. The role also requires a valid driver’s licence with two or fewer violations or accidents in the past 24 months.
Benefits and Salary
The posting notes this is an interview position plus CEV but does not state a wage or salary figure. No benefits are listed in the posting. If compensation details matter for your decision, you can ask about them when contacted for an interview.

Job Summary & Tips for Applying
Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Operations Supervisor position at FedEx in Dorval is a full-time, frontline leadership role overseeing sort operations and a Cargo Handler team on a Tuesday-to-Sunday evening schedule. Two qualifications to put front and centre on your resume are supervisory experience (at least two years in a related field or in FedEx sort operations) and bilingualism in French and English, both of which are required for this Quebec station.
Resume & Application Tips: The posting asks for a college degree and two years of experience, so list your education clearly near the top and describe any supervisory or logistics work with specifics: team size, shift type and any compliance or training responsibilities you held. If you have a Dangerous Goods (DG) certification or have completed similar regulated training, name it. A concrete example strengthens an application in this kind of role; for instance: “Supervised a team of 12 package handlers across a four-hour morning sort, maintaining a 98% on-time scan rate over six months” shows the format worth following.
Interview Preparation: Come ready with one or two real examples of how you resolved a conflict within a team and how you recovered a service failure under time pressure, since both are stated duties. Prepare an honest answer about your availability for the Tuesday-to-Friday and Sunday evening shift, 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The posting does not state a wage, so asking about the CEV component and total compensation structure is reasonable. You might also ask what the current team size is and how onboarding for recurrency and DG training is structured.
