About the Role: Operations Supervisor-2
As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll manage the day-to-day activities of assigned Cargo Handler staff within the station. This includes directing work activities, ensuring that all package handling and routing procedures are followed correctly, and stepping in to resolve potential service failures before they escalate. You’ll be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and training your team while making sure all administrative processes comply with FedEx Express (FXE) policies and procedures as well as applicable government regulations.
This role also requires that you foster a culture of accountability — taking ownership of department outcomes, addressing conflict management proactively, and continuously looking for ways to simplify business processes without compromising quality. Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position, as it is located in the province of Quebec. The scheduled shift is a morning shift from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Responsibilities

Requirements / Skills

- College degree required as the minimum educational qualification
- 2 years of FedEx sort operations or senior-level hourly experience, OR 2 years of supervisory experience in a related industry
- Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required given the Quebec location
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Ability to complete and maintain Dangerous Goods (DG) certification and all required recurrency training
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills with the ability to simplify processes without sacrificing quality
- EXCEL Leadership Development Stream participation is an asset
