About the Role: Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent

Your day starts at the Canada Post depot, where you’ll sort and prepare deliveries before loading up a postal vehicle and heading out on your route. You’ll spend the majority of your shift delivering mail and parcels by both foot and vehicle, connecting Canadians with the packages and correspondence they’re waiting for. At the end of the day, you’ll return to the depot to unload incoming mail for future delivery.

This role requires dependability, physical stamina, and a genuine commitment to safe driving practices and customer service. You’ll be working in all weather conditions, so adaptability is key. Responsibilities

Each day as a letter carrier at Canada Post brings structure and purpose. From depot prep in the morning to route delivery throughout the day, you’ll be an essential part of keeping Quesnel connected. Here’s what you can expect on the job:

• Sort and prepare the day’s mail and parcels at the depot before heading out on your route
• Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle safely and responsibly
• Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers by foot and by vehicle
• Maintain efficiency while navigating your assigned route throughout the day
• Unload incoming mail at the depot at the end of your shift, preparing items for future delivery
• Represent Canada Post professionally as the face of the organization in the community

Requirements / Skills

Canada Post is looking for candidates who are physically capable, reliable, and ready to work in all conditions. Whether you have a background in customer service, driving, or delivery work, your attitude and commitment matter just as much as your experience.

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record of at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
• Physical fitness to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions year-round
• On-call availability as required by the temporary employment arrangement
• English language proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking); French is an asset
• Customer service experience is an asset
• Delivery or driving experience is a definite advantage
